If you suspect you have swine flu you should go online at www.direct.gov.uk/pandemicflu or call the Treatment Line on 0800 1 513 100. Textphone is available on 0800 1 513 200. You will be taken through a list of basic questions about your symptoms and medical history and will be asked to confirm your date of birth, name, address and postcode.
If you are confirmed as having swine flu you will be given a unique access number and told where your nearest antiviral collection point is. You should then ask a flu friend to go and collect the antivirals.
If you suspect you have swine flu you must not go to your GP or Accident & Emergency.
You should contact the doctor rather than the Flu Service if:

You are pregnant
You have a sick child under one year of age
Your condition suddenly gets worse or if your condition is still getting worse after 7 days (5 days for a child)
